November Events
@ Pettee Memorial Library
Hello patrons of Pettee (because that sounds better than Pettee patrons😉),
We hope you this message finds you well and enjoying spooky season. Trunk or Treat in Wilmington was a blast this past weekend, and we wanted to thank all who supported this event, most especially our Friends of the Library for providing FREE books to kids of all ages and for volunteering at the event.
This coming Friday, the wonderful downtown businesses of Wilmington will be welcoming trick or treaters from 4-6:30 pm. Pettee Memorial Library will be giving out treats too, so be sure to stop by! Thank you again to our amazing volunteers for helping to spread the Halloween spirit.
This November we look forward to kicking off our newest iteration of teen group: Teen Service Club. We’d so appreciate it if you could help us spread the word if you know a local teen looking for community service hours or just to lend a helping hand; we’d love to have them!
A big thank you to Karen Gaynin for all her help with our weekly Thursday afternoon storytime. She will be back in the Spring. In the meantime, we will still have storytime Monday mornings at 11:00. Also, we’d like to thank Alan Baker, our monthly drop-in Tech Expert, for all his help too. Alan will also be back with us next Spring.
Please note that we will be closed on Thursday, 11/27 and Friday, 11/28 for a little Thanksgiving break. It feels a tad early to say Happy Thanksgiving, so we’ll part by saying we wish you and yours a safe, spooky, and sweet Halloween!
