February Events
@ Pettee Memorial Library
Hello everyone,
We hope this email finds you well and warm in the depths of our Vermont winter. If that’s not resonating, we still have our warming zone set up in the lobby by our side entrance. There are warm beverage options, hand warmers, cough drops, and more. Thank you to the Teen Service Club that set up the warming zone, and thank you to those that were able to donate items. We’ll be accepting donations and keeping the zone open through February.
This month, we have some unique events happening here at Pettee and out in our community. Presenter Marty Gitlin will be bringing The Magic of Motown to our library on February 8th, so if you’re into Motown music and trivia, come on by solo or with a friend!
We invite you all to come on over to American Flatbread in Dover for our big annual fundraiser on Tuesday, February 24th for pizza and the chance to win some amazing raffle baskets created by our Friends of the Library. Much gratitude to this wonderful group for the tremendous effort involved in organizing and running the event. We hope you will join us!
We’ll be setting up a kids craft table at the Old School Community Center on February 25th as part of their Winter Break Extravaganza. This is a FREE, family friendly event with lots of indoor activities for all ages, including an inflatable obstacle course!
On Saturday, February 14th, we will have a 💜VALENTINE’S SURPRISE🩷 at the library, so stop by anytime between 10-4 if you’re curious... I know, so suspenseful! Hee-hee.
Lastly, if you have ever joined us for our monthly book club meeting, or if you are interested in joining, please take this survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/share/62e010f9-1900-42a5-8d46-c2642c3ee549 so we can get some feedback as we plan for future book club meetings. Thank you!
Just a reminder, the library will be closed on President’s Day, Monday, February 16th.
We hope to see you soon,
~ Pettee Staff
